Robert Kardashian: Prominent Attorney and Simpson Trial Supporter

Early Life and Career

Robert George Kardashian Sr. (February 22, 1944 – September 30, 2003) was an American attorney and businessman. Born in Los Angeles, California, Kardashian graduated from the University of Southern California and Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. He began his legal career as an attorney for the Los Angeles County Public Defender's Office.

Friendship with O.J. Simpson

In the early 1990s, Kardashian became friends with O.J. Simpson, a former football player and actor. The two men shared a love of golf and attended social events together. When Simpson became the prime suspect in the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman in 1994, Kardashian immediately offered his support and assistance.

Simpson's Defense Team

As a member of Simpson's defense team, Kardashian played a key role in the high-profile trial. Despite the overwhelming evidence against Simpson, Kardashian maintained his belief in his friend's innocence throughout the proceedings. He even lent Simpson his Rolls-Royce on the night of the murders, which Simpson later claimed was in an attempt to flee from the crime scene.

Post-Trial Life and Death

Following Simpson's acquittal, Kardashian continued to work as an attorney. In his later years, he was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. He passed away on September 30, 2003, at the age of 59. Kardashian's legacy as a loyal friend and skilled attorney has been widely recognized.

Rumors and Khloe Kardashian

In recent years, there have been persistent rumors that Simpson fathered Khloe Kardashian, one of Kardashian's three daughters. While Simpson has publicly denied these claims, they have continued to circulate in Hollywood circles. Kardashian has never publicly commented on the paternity rumors.
